<\/a>So just time for a quick post today.<\/p>\n

I spent far too much of yesterday hoovering, tidying, scrubbing, mopping, wiping, painting over those nasty scuffs on the walls and finding places to stash our generously-strewn belongings.<\/p>\n

And then I sat down to wait for the man from the estate agent to come and tell me what our home is worth.<\/p>\n

And I waited. And waited. And then I called, because I thought it was odd that they hadn’t called me to say that they had been delayed.<\/p>\n

And instead of apologising, he said that he had rung me several\u00a0times. And that he must have the wrong number for me. And that he had had another appointment, at the office. And that as I had made my<\/em> appointment over a week ago, and he had been unable to reach me, he had gone to this other appointment instead.<\/p>\n

Well.<\/p>\n

I was not pleased, I can tell you. A week of scrubbing and tidying can do that to you.<\/p>\n

I thought that an apology might\u00a0have been in order. And so, whilst he was fetching his diary, I made a decision.<\/p>\n

When he offered to come on Thursday instead, I said that I thought that if they couldn’t get this<\/em> right, I thought that I would\u00a0find someone else to help us sell our house.<\/p>\n

And I did. They’re coming tomorrow.<\/p>\n

If they show up, that is.<\/p>\n
