Incredibly, I am having to start to think about that festive time of year already.<\/p>\n

It seems incredible to me,\u00a0firstly\u00a0because it is barely five minutes since we returned from sunning ourselves on the beaches of Crete, and secondly,\u00a0because I am a firm believer in not<\/em> doing Christmas until Christmas.<\/p>\n

I am insistent that we don’t decorate the tree until Christmas Eve. I am that person who\u00a0runs around buying\u00a0last minute presents\u00a0just before the shops shut for the holiday.<\/p>\n

My partner is even worse. He has been known to\u00a0scour the streets seeking\u00a0the\u00a0one<\/em>\u00a0corner shop open on Christmas morning,\u00a0to buy\u00a0some crucial-but-missing Christmas dinner ingredient.<\/p>\n

So let’s say it is not in my nature to be thinking festively at this time of year.<\/p>\n

However, after a trip into town for a new sewing machine bulb and an afternoon sewing other things, I remembered\u00a0yesterday that back in the mists of time I had signed up for a couple of festive fairs.<\/p>\n

And not having much stock in reserve, I had not the first idea what I was going to sell at them.<\/p>\n

I turned to my “ideas jotted down\u00a0for when I forget them” notebook. And one of my ideas scrawls\u00a0came up trumps –\u00a0magic mushroom Christmas decorations!<\/p>\n

So I had a quick go at transforming\u00a0them from idea into reality, and this is how they turned out…<\/p>\n

Shroomy!<\/p>\n

I think I’m going to get the beads and sequins out and get a bit glittery with a few more, nearer the date.<\/p>\n

After all, I don’t mind\u00a0getting festive when the time comes.<\/p>\n

And I may as well\u00a0make my magic mushrooms marvellous.\u00a0\u2665<\/p>\n
