family jewel

modflowers: jewel family dollsSo finally, the commission I have been working on is done.

Well, the first part of it at least.

Meet the Jewel family. All are made from Sarah Campbell’s wonderful Melodies fabrics for Michael Miller, in the Jewel colourways.

The fabrics are in such wonderful patterns and colours – all tone together beautifully.

My main problem has been deciding which designs to leave out, as there were too many to make use of them all in one little family of dolls.

There will be a second family, this time made from the other colour range, Tropics.

And creating a fresh set of new personalities to match their tropical vibe. ♥

  1. I love your elegantly bohemian bunny family, such a pretty gypsyish vibe to their outfits. I’m wondering what will come with the tropical family – perhaps lovely Hawaiian shirts, sarongs and board shorts, with tangled saltwater curls and maybe some wild red dreadlocks! The little family is brilliant, and ought to sell like hotcakes.

    • You have just read my mind Kate! I was thinking something a little Carmen Miranda-ish stirred into the mix perhaps, too!
