(not quite) in the secret garden

The Secret Garden Craft Fair, NottinghamI feel a bit of a fraud, saying I’m doing a stall at The Secret Garden Craft Fair.

Because I will not actually be in the garden.

I am stall number 46, in the rear hall.

In some ways not being in the garden is a relief – rain, even light drizzle, and textiles do not happy bedfellows make. So at least I will not have to worry about possible sogginess, thankfully.

But if the day turns out lovely after all I will be stuck indoors, whilst all the punters soak up the sun and sip Pimms outside.

It’s a minor worry. I am more nervous just about doing the event itself. Have I forgotten anything? Do I have enough change? Will I sell everything? Will I sell anything?

I go every year. It’s busy. It’s lively. It’s lovely. I will know loads of people, as I used to live in Sherwood. I have a slight case of pre-fair nerves.

Do come down and say hello if you’re in Nottingham.

And don’t forget to check out the rest of the happenings during Sherwood Art Week too! ♥

  1. Have lots of fun, I’m sure you’ll have a fab day! Wish I could be there! Too far away in deepest Cornwal! Let us know how you get on x

    • Thanks! More or less set up now, but the event doesn’t start until 11am – time to get the flask of tea out methinks! Then I might have a shuftie at the other stalls.

  2. Your stuff made the poster!!! That’s so cool. Sure you’ll do great. It looks like an amazing craft fair- similar to something we have here called “Paradise City”. I got my wedding ring there a couple years ago.

  3. Love the poster, and boy I would like a pimms and lemonade sitting in the sun – one of my favorite drinks. I am sure everything will go well – your stuff is beautiful 🙂
