mogs – and dog

modflowers: vintage fabric mini moggiesYesterday morning was filled with the lovely prospect of settling down to sewing a new batch of mini mogs.

Lad was at school, partner at work, and I didn’t have to go anywhere all day.

There was, however, just one thing other than sewing on the agenda…

modflowers: dog! It was dog-sitting day with Walter the Cockerpoo.

I look after him one day most weeks. He’s a lovely pup, just four months old, bouncy, affectionate and fun.

Lad loves him to bits. And I love his company.

He follows me about the house like Mary’s lamb.

He wants to sit on my knee whilst I’m sewing.

But I am firm with him, and he gets the message and dozes on his cushion instead.

Until…

modflowers: dog sewing helper! He wakes up just in time to photobomb my photography session.

After he’s done picking up stray bits of fabric from the floor (and I’ve safely retrieved them from his mouth) he tries to eat my moggies.

I attempt to convey crossness.

But well… how could anyone be cross with that face?

modflowers: Walter the dog's apologetic faceMogs and dogs. They’re not supposed to mix happily, are they?

But given that my day was filled with joy from both, I think for me, perhaps, they can. ♥
