the big (small) event

modflowers: pendants in boxesThis week I have been trying to ensure that I have a good supply of stock for my stall.

I have been making lots of bits and bobs that I hope the punters will like (and buy), like the pendants in their little wooden boxes above.

The first of my two upcoming stalls is next Saturday at Sherwood Christmas Craft and Food Fair.

It’s an annual local event that I’ve been going to for years, but only sold at for the first time last year.

modflowers: Sherwood Christmas Craft and Food FairIt’s very busy.

Lots of friends and acquaintances cram into a tiny little community centre called The Place to buy wares from the crème de la crème of Nottingham’s creative folk.

I feel honoured to be amongst such lovely and talented people as Carly Dodsley, Rachel Ainley, Alys Power, Corinna RothwellEloise Renouf, Ali Bee and a host of others.

Last year my stall was next to the lovely Katrin Moye, and her beautiful ceramics. Which made me very nervous every time I had to inch my way out from behind my stall, in case my inherent clumsiness caused a ceramics-shattering disaster!

Here are some of the sort of wares that will be on offer…

I am a bit nervous about it, as it’s always such a busy and big (yet small) event.

But I have a whole week yet in which to panic. ♥

  1. Wish I could go and buy things!!! Have a great time!!! Your handcrafted items are so cute, cool, and inspiring. I don’t usually comment, but you are a daily inspiration in the last year that I have been sewing!!! So, thank you!

  2. Oh it sounds lovely. Wish I could go. I am seriously coveting some of Katrin’s gorgeous ceramics. Your necklace and box combos are very pretty. Good luck with the market. Bee xx
