blowing away the cobwebs

chesil beach

It has not been an easy weekend.

But when you need a change of scene, it is safe to say that there is nowhere quite like Chesil Beach for clearing your head.

It is always windy there, even on a day when the trees in the gardens are still. The salt spray stings your face. In winter, your fingers go numb before you can take a photo.

It is one of our favourite places on earth.

And sometimes the cold, and the wind, and the stark beauty of the sea – especially when shared with your loved ones – are just what’s needed.

But, for a little while at least, Chesil Beach can make you feel as though they have been blown clean away.

  1. Lovely bit of coast, especially in Winter, and great pics — I ALWAYS have to photograph my feet on the beach!! Hope you feel clearer soon x

    • Thanks Sue. I’m ok. It’s just hard seeing the ones you love going through a difficult and painful time, especially so when there’s nothing you can do to change the situation.
