crowing, not crowing

finished crow no.2 - modflowers

So, you may have noticed on Instagram that a little while ago I made a crow, from a pattern by the wonderful Ann Wood. There he is, pictured above. He was made as a present for my sis in Australia and he … Continue reading

in the press…

As you may have noticed if you follow either my blog, or my Instagram or Facebook profiles, I am not normally one to flaunt myself in front of the camera or appear in the press. In fact, I recently wrote … Continue reading

It shouldn’t happen to a maker… ten annoying things that do – and have!

tree pixies in progress

Whilst stitching, I have been musing recently on the nature of the annoyances that happen to makers. These aren’t earth-shattering, life-changing events in the big scheme of things, but I’m betting that even the most zen amongst the making community … Continue reading

just a quickie

modflowers: pencil caseWe have returned from our weekend in Devon celebrating lad’s twelfth birthday.

His friends were away on their holidays and he was a little disappointed not to be able to hook up with them for the usual fun. So we decided to sort out some family fun instead.

It was a gorgeous weekend all round. Beaches, pizza, ice-cream, countryside – and a VW tent at the bed and breakfast for lad to sleep in…

VW Camper tent! His presents included a new watch gadgety enough for even the most gadget-obsessed lad, headphones – and some drawing pens from his best buddy, delivered by his dad before we left.

I had to run up a quick pencil case this afternoon, for lad to keep them in. Which took me all of ten minutes.

The birthday weekend was over all too quickly.

But his friends will be back to play soon. ♥
