Ok, this is going to look like showing off.
But I know that before long, I won’t be the only one with a pair or two of these taking pride of place in their wardrobe.
So… perhaps you’ll be generous enough to allow me my own moment of unadulterated shoe-porn.
I bought some Orla Kiely for Clarks shoes. And they arrived yesterday morning.
Whilst salivating over browsing the selection on offer, I couldn’t decide which ones I liked best.
But fate has been kind and I had built up a bit of a rainy-day fund in my PayPal account. It was meant for fabric.
But, well, I have some of that already, don’t I?
So I decided, somewhat on the spur of the moment, that my rainy day had come…
And I bought two pairs!
Strangely enough, the yellow ones I liked best on the website are not my favourite of the two styles in the flesh.
Just a word of warning to anyone thinking of ordering these: they’re actually a bit more on the beige side in real life, rather than the mustard yellow they appear online.
But no matter. They are still lovely.
I particularly like the way those buckles look like they are made from sucked butterscotch.
They do, don’t they?!
My love for them, great though it is however, is surpassed by my love for these…
(That’s me dancing about in them above).
I can’t wait to go out and swish about in them.
Although I think might just wait until the weather improves a bit.
I think the wellies are more appropriate at the moment.♥
Ohh lovely! I added the platforms to my wish list yesterday. I’ll probably break an ankle in them but who cares?!
When I saw the box yesterday I hoped they would be a pair of these – so so lovely!
Ha! I knew it!!!! I adore those shoes too – I’ve been swooning over Milly and popped a pair in my shopping basket yesterday when there was a quidco offer on. But then I had to stop myself – much as I adore them, I don’t go out at the moment, so I would just be taking them out and stroking them every so often!! But I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before I check out. They look fabulous! xx
I justified the second pair to myself with the thought that if I didn’t wear them, I could always keep them and resell them at a later date!
