Just a quick post to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who browsed and bought my dolls this weekend.
As you may know if you follow me elsewhere, I add my completed dolls to my mantelpiece as I finish them.
The photo above was my mantelpiece yesterday. I spend my evenings sitting on the sofa opposite, watching the display become more and more maximalist as it fills up with my creations. I love it, it’s such a tangible way of seeing what I’ve achieved!
It took me entirely by surprise that over the past weekend I sold every single one of them!
So I have been lugging a huge number of parcels down to the post office (thank goodness what I make is small and relatively lightweight!) and then I will be getting on with making some more. My virtually empty mantel now has space for me to start the process all over again.
Here’s hoping that the already overburdened postal services come up trumps and manage to safely deliver all of my little creatures to their new homes – I do fear for them when I send them off into the world. Each one has been made with love and carries a tiny piece of my heart. But as with creativity, the more you use, the more you have to give.
My mantelpiece is now empty – but my heart is full. ♥
